DESCRIPTION
A Must-Have Reference for the Serious Mentalist!
In this extremely rare 1972 manuscript (all but lost to the fraternity), Jack London (Harold Rifas) first introduces his diabolical add-a-number methodology that revolutionized how many mentalists perform this time-honored classic! The performer shows the audience an envelope that contains a prediction. Three members of the audience are each asked to select any three cards that they desire from a face-up pack. The choice is absolutely free! The performer now shows his prediction to a member of the audience and has him initial the prediction and hold it. The performer now turns to the people who selected the cards and asks them to mix them up – so there is no particular or psychological sequence involved. He then picks up a large cardboard and has the three members of the audience call out the numbers on their cards in any order that they wish. The numbers are written on the cardboard and totaled. This is done openly. There is no switch – in fact, a member of the audience may write down the numbers and total them! The spectator holding the prediction reads it aloud and it is the correct total! Remember! The spectator saw the prediction before the order of the numbers was selected. There are no switches of any kind. And, you can use more numbers, spectators, or both to get a larger total – FURTHERMORE – you can repeat this instantly! If you prefer, you may use number cards, or you may have the spectators call out numbers which you write on small index cards. Several ways are explained, including London's own handling, as well as a self-working, math-free version that lets you concentrate entirely on presentation. New graphics and an addendum with a terrific streamlined version you can even perform in a close-up setting. A genuine reputation-maker! 15-page PDF. Note: The underlying methodology is the same as London's Almost Real Prediction.
