Here's what's included...
THE THREE ARTICLE TEST (Louis Lam, Eddie Joseph and Gene "Phantini" Grant)
Three brilliant solutions for the classic Three Article Test. Here's the basic effect: You introduce or borrow any three objects. For example, a watch, a ring and a key. You now turn around and three different spectators each secretly place one of these objects in their pocket. Following a brief and direct presentation, you reveal the object each spectator has hidden on their person! No questions asked. No shills. No mirrors. No nail writers. No impression devices. No guess work! You are 100% correct every time. In this new manuscript from Trickshop.com, we bring together our previous manuscript on Louis Lam's handling (our title, Ultra Perception, a $4.95 value), as well as solutions by Eddie Joseph (The Three Objects) and Gene "Phantini" Grant (Numerical). Note, Numerical lets you work the effect one-on-one, even over the phone! All three handlings are different and easy to do! Ideal for parties and other intimate gatherings. 13 pages.
THE BOXES OF CHANG (Jack Miller)
Jack Miller's acclaimed handling for "The Three Article Test." Here's the effect: The performer leaves the room, after which several spectators each select an article and also one of the mysterious “BOXES OF CHANG.” Each spectator chooses a different colored box into which he places the article he has chosen. The boxes containing the articles are now hidden in the pockets of the various spectators, or any other place. Upon entering the room the performer INSTANTLY tells each spectator the color of the box which he has hidden in his pocket and also names the article it contains. No assistants are required to perform this miraculous effect and the performer does not, at any time handle the boxes or the articles. A beautiful and mysterious effect for magicians and mentalists alike. Very easy to perform, you can’t go wrong with the mysterious “BOXES OF CHANG.” We supply our new 6-page PDF manuscript with updated instructions and new ready-to-print artwork. You supply the boxes and three objects (all are ungimmicked).
CRYPTESTHESIA (Wallace Lee)
Wallace the Magician's early manuscript on the three article test, CRYPTESTHESIA - an effect he called "The World's Greatest Pseudo-Divination Trick." Three everyday objects, such as a ring, watch and button, are each concealed by a different spectator in their pocket while the performer's back is turned. When the performer turns back, he looks each person in the eye and names the object chosen. If you have our "Three Article Test" manuscript, the basic handling is similar to Louis Lam's in that publication, but with a couple of nice subtleties designed to throw the spectator off the scent. 6 pages, re-typeset.
UNDER SUSPICION (Gerald Kosky and Jack Yates)
In this new manuscript, we bring together two entertaining crime/murder mystery classics - The Plot's The Thing by Gerald Kosky (two variations) and Jack Yates' Accusation. In both routines, you solve a crime which certain members of the audience are in on! Both presentations are well constructed and utilize subtle, proven methods, allowing you to concentrate almost entirely on presentation. Complete with new, ready-to-print artwork. Ideal for corporate work, club shows, private parties, etc. Re-typeset, 18 pages.
MATHEMATICAL 3-CARD MONTE PLUS FIVE CARD BAFFLE (Bob Hummer)
Two more mind boggling Bob Hummer effects! First, new clearly written, illustrated instructions for Bob Hummer's Mathematical 3-Card Monte. Three cards are placed in a row and numbered one, two and three. With the performer’s back turned, the spectator is given free reign to repeatedly shift the position of any two cards. As he makes each move, he calls the numbers of the positions of the cards he is shifting. When he is done moving cards around, he is asked to select any one of cards and then, secretly shift the other two cards without telling the magician. The magician turns back around and is immediately able to divine the card the spectator is thinking of! It's an incredible effect which you can also perform with borrowed objects (instead of playing cards), or present as a mental Three Shell Game; where you find an object hidden by a spectator under a cap, cup, thimble or shell! These variations are fully explained. In addition, this manuscript also includes two versions of Bob Hummer's "no questions asked," five-card mental selection revelation; including a brand new version where you reveal the thought-of card without ever seeing the faces of the cards! Re-typeset, 8 pages.
AL KORAN'S NOTE UNDER CUP
Shortly after its release in 1951, Al Koran adapted Bob Hummer's Mathematical Three Card Monte to locate a crumpled up banknote secretly placed under one of three cups, which were then well mixed — all while the performer’s back was turned. The reworked presentation delighted and confounded audiences. It was pure genius...pure Koran. By 1952, Harry Stanley's Unique Magic was already marketing the innovative effect. In these new instructions, we break down the handling for the routine Koran performed professionally for many years along with his patter, as well as the shortened version many are familiar with. Plus, we even include the original 1951 instructions for Bob Hummer's monte, published by Frank Werner. Not to mention, background information, tips, using Starbucks cups, and more. 14 pages, illustrated.
