DESCRIPTION

In Stan Lobenstern's "Keep It Simple" Magic Castle Lecture No. 2 from 1985, he stresses material and methods that allow you to focus on what's really important...entertaining your audiences while fooling them. 18 items in all are covered in this booklet. While some call for standard props and accessories, or even a joke item in a couple of spots, many do not or are easily made up.

Highlights include:

ACES GO - From a borrowed deck, the four Aces (or any four cards) are removed and placed face up on the table. Three indifferent cards are dealt on each Ace; afterward, the Aces are placed in a face-down position. Any one of the four piles is selected freely by a spectator — absolutely no force — and in this pile the four Aces have traveled. Upon examination, the other piles just have different cards. No setup, no sleights. Just borrow a deck and go to work.

FLIM–FLAM - Any spectator fairly selects a card from the deck and puts the card back into the pack himself. Without any moves or sleights, the selected card reverses itself in the deck.

DOUBLE GLASS VANISH! - A one-ounce shot glass is placed on the table and covered with a larger glass that is wrapped in a sheet of newspaper or a napkin. In a flash, after some comedy bits, both glasses visibly vanish!

FLYING KISSES - A lady from the audience selects card from a blue-backed deck and blows a kiss at the cards. The cards are spread and now there's one red card in the middle. Not only is it her card, but there's now an imprint of red lips on the face of the card.

STAN’S WATER PULL! - Both hands are shown empty. From the table a shot glass full of liquid is picked up and poured into the fist of the opposite hand. Upon opening this hand, all the liquid has vanished!
