DESCRIPTION

In his 1978 lecture, Karrell Fox shares 15 effects, visual comedy bits, and more, right out of his professional repertoire. Highlights include:

TIME-KILLER
A wrist watch is borrowed and wrapped in a pocket handkerchief. Performer asks if the watch is unbreakable. Before the spectator can answer, the magi starts POUNDING THE WRAPPED WATCH ON THE TABLE. Broken parts are heard to clang around. The magi pleads temporary insanity, and offers to restore the watch. The watch is unwrapped and is found to be unharmed.

INSTANT REPLAY - CARD TO POCKET
A playing card is visibly inserted into your left sleeve. It apparently crawls up your sleeve, then VISIBLY it ‘peeks’ out from under your coat, crawls across your chest and under the other side of your coat. The card is then produced from your right trouser pocket.

The flower in your buttonhole slowly creeps over to the opposite lapel and then just as spookily, creeps back across to where it was originally.

KING TOOT’S TABLET
A piece of white papyrus is shown. It has scribblings and markings on it that make no sense. Suddenly the marks visibly MOVE slowly, and spell out the name of a previously selected card, or anything you wish.

BULLSEYE CARD TRICK
A card is selected and returned to the deck. The deck is encircled with a rubber band. The spectator is given a small cap pistol, and asked to shoot at the deck. When they do, one card comes flying out of the pack. Upon examination, it is discovered that not only is it the selected card that has flown out of the deck, but there’s also a BULLETHOLE RIGHT THRU THE CARD!

Everything is based upon simple, direct methods along with some clever, easily made-up gimmicks. 19 pages, re-typeset.
