In the early 1940s, Lam was the co-publisher of the Dutch magical magazine, TRIKS, along with Henk Vermeyden, and a driving force on the vibrant Dutch magic scene. He was also a leading card magic expert. Lam who was Jewish was arrested by the Gestapo in Holland during the war and is now known to have perished while at Sobibor concentration camp in Poland. His tragic death was a tremendous loss to magicians everywhere; he was just 39 years old. Beautifully illustrated, re-typeset, 29 pages.
